Morning, how's everyone doing today different? Look I have mainly because I am at my normal office. But instead of pitching my MacBook at the window. I decided to give it one more shot at rebuilding it. This will be time to see if I can resolve some the stability issues.

Now. I've got a feeling as to what the problem might be fingers crossed and takes a while to rebuild though. So I'm going from one of my mobile rigs in spy supposed to my normal sort of Studio setup. So little bit different look because one of my cats has a larger chair that I could press this on.

Anyway, all good. It's Friday. Hope everyone's doing well. And yesterday I did post that video for on the Indy flaws for rise and fall for master key Chimera and follow you can check that out here on the Facebook page or on the YouTube channel and that's been getting a positive response so far.

Thankfully the hype cycle didn't really kick in on those flaws be Is it was kind of ridiculous and as far as the probability and that's really a big thing for me is a cybersecurity professionals that probability is key to because something's possible doesn't mean that it's probable or it's going to happen and it's really the fundamental concept behind risking a lot of people end up forgetting that they said they're on the go well as possible.

We need to defend against it and realistically you should be defending against this the same way. You're defending its most other cyber X, which is trying to prevent criminals from getting a administrative access to your systems. I mean one of those CPU vulnerability Zoom required a full rewrite of a bios, which realistically would never happen except in extreme circumstances.

It's still interesting technically though. So I'm also in a similar no Intel announced that they have a new generation of CPUs that are going to address some of the Spectre meltdown issues in Hardware. I'm so look for those to start hitting in the second half of 2018. So realistically people will start to use them ahead of the year.

Maybe next year at before some major offenders have them integrated. But do you know that's we knew that was coming. Software software mitigated Bowl but it needs to be fixed in the hardware. So I'm death continuing on I think I might have based on some of the responses of an online.

It will do a bit of a write-up in either post that on market and see for my conduct a sari or I'm on medium as far as a little while to text write-up about the issues and compare them to spell inspector amount that a little bit better. And of course all Lincoln in bed the video I'm from yesterday that's on the YouTube channel to other than that, I'm tackling some mobile forensics today.

I'm going to interesting little project they came up that I'll talk a little bit more about next week but have to dive into some Android forensics, which I haven't done in a while. I'm so that's going to be interesting and challenging and Catherine smoothie Beauty the cloud and had to kind of put away my old school thinking on some stuff and realize that far simpler way to do some of the Cash Ring of network traffic attorney to do involves an interesting little Cloud solution.

So I can't I might write that up by if I have time I would definitely part of the project report and they'll come out of this little friends activity. What I want to talk about today real quick tax in Ohio already been kind of rambling on for 3 minutes already.

So what I want to talk about was there's been a few announces this week in various Avenues town in New York had that has just made an announcement. I'm Google make an announcement where they're preventing activity for advertising and cryptocurrencies. John Oliver this week with Last Week Tonight had a fantastic breakdown on cryptocurrency.

So get ahold of me holding and holding an absolutely amazing breakdown from John Oliver on it as far as the realities of cryptocurrencies and you know, that's not to the camp blockchain is the technology think is phenomenal potential and in that technology in The Right Use case the promise were fully on my triple down hype cycle and which doesn't make any sense of Google took the step of banning a i c o r plasmids and which is great.

We know from a statistics compiled for 2017 46% of all ico's either fail the road I'd scams. Similar we're starting to see action taken local. I locally where I'm towns or States enamore on government to General are looking at these and saying wait a minute is this legitimate activity? Where does this fall in the financial Spectrum? I mean, that's mainly because even in a heavily unregulated country like the us there are still regulations around Securities trading around currency trading and I'm here in Canada's far more stringent and strickler Regulatory environment, but they're still challenges here in these are Financial products maybes Financial system completely wild west on regulate some people's got ridiculously Rich.

Some people are losing their shirt off their back the other day still people don't really know where cryptocurrencies are going on why we have so many is it going to boil down to one or two? Are we going to still have the thousands we have because you can literally go to a site and click one button and start your Mark Coin which would be very cool, But again useless and I have no value so interesting to see that and that's I think I'm really going to be sort of a tangent theme through 2018.

You're going to see that pop up. But please add the big takeaway from most people do not associate cryptocurrency and blockchain is being the same thing cryptocurrencies are built on blockchain. You can build many other different types of things on blockchain talk about it here before and things like Microsoft identity initiatives as well as the larger a global Community.

Have you can imagine having a blockchain a chain of evidence was supposed to just people signing and thing I didn't let this evidence out of my sight have you can have my mathematical verification of the digital signature and which means is part of the court process. You can actually verify that that chain of evidence was unbroken and that everybody's digital identity lined up with him along with their personal attestations.

Not perfect but it's definitely stuff for over what we have today voting systems a huge one transaction does not just any transaction that would be better supported by blockchain. But any transaction that you want to verify especially verify and Pub I'm more have a third-party be able to verify it is an ideal use cases for blockchain and there's a ton of those out there.

I'm so I'm really excited with that technology, but I'm really it's unfortunate that wrapped up in the quick cryptocurrency debate in cryptocurrency hype because people are associated with you anime commence Anonymous very similar to the word crypto for cryptocurrency. Don't please don't let that be a thing crypto cryptography.

It's well-established has been going on for thousands of years cryptocurrencies use cryptography, but just digital currencies I think would be far more appropriate because we've seen that as a larger life cycle of a ramble. It's Friday. You can tell I'm not nearly as focused, but that Android friends eclipse today.

I'll try to get some more stuff out on the MD flaws. And what are you up to? Let me know hit me Below in the comments here on Facebook or YouTube how you can hit me up online Mark NCAA same as you were out here on Facebook or the channel URL get accustomed.

I'm so looking to talk one, see what you're doing. And what's going on for you today. And what do you think about anything and everything? It's always exciting what's going on? Have a great weekend Builders. Will talk to you soon. Morning, how's everyone doing today different? Look I have mainly because I am at my normal office.
