How's everyone doing have a couple days off and do some scheduling conflicts in short and sweet. Can I get away with that? Facebook Facebook Facebook Facebook, you can read a ton about it with a couple other conversations that really kind of hidden issues that frustrates me, but I think we need to talk about more.

So what is a great article in Fox and pictures of bunch of the challenges with a question that were asked Zuckerberg yesterday that show a lack of understanding but liquid Facebook. Show a complete lack of understanding how to get highlights a bigger issue of this stuff is complicated and the blind people have on when they're Building Systems Security in general people understand this stuff.

They don't we make it too hard for people to understand how technology impacts University technical Forum having some discussions with some issues and it was in a way that makes sense for their the challenge. Still having a challenge and this stuff is all very very difficult is probably too difficult.

In fact, and it doesn't need to be that way. Now. There's a long-held bullshit belief that its security vs. Usability and it's very much not that security needs to be built in and usability is still achievable. It's not as though we need this to be secure and that means it's going to be unusable.

Nobody's never going to let you know usable products. You just have to start with usability and privacy and security is one of your core foundation and build up from there. You can't vote usability on in the end. You can't bolt security or privacy on in the air. And the third thing that kind of got me on this topic today was as doing a response time for reporter here in Canada.

I'm around some of the challenges we can a D&D to protection and notification in organizations. Do better. I can make this better education is relying on usable systems. There's so many different factors the primary cause I don't use route cost of the did read that article falling around but the primary causes not understand privacy where that security is harder the primary cause of these on 64 or privacy.

I don't know. What a good word for it is like he's open systems. Not a lack of awareness is a lack of effort early on to build this stuff into the fabric people want to do the right thing people would prefer to do the right thing is that the right thing or entire business model is predicated around understanding you the user to better Target pass to you.

So there's a question there is that system is doing what it's supposed to be used using a fuse or maybe there's some naivety but there's a substantial amount of other examples out there where privacy is the number one goal of security and privacy could be a number one principal or Foundation of pillar for that product or that offering it isn't because in the end.

It doesn't really really work if simple analogy if you build a house and didn't think about doors until the end. You're going to get in these awkward situations security privacy. They need to be built in from day one. They need to be highly usable. It's not security and privacy vs.

Usability. It's usability in Naples security and privacy and I think that's a real big takeaway. I was thinking about that more as we dive into this weekend, of course leaving in the next week or two are say I'm outside in San Francisco comes together interesting interesting place to go simply because there's a lot of great content, but there's also a lot of really interesting startups from other place.
