How you doing today in a little bit late this morning still coming to you from the West Coast as you can tell by the background in the V4 logout The View on the podcast standard business Hotel. Does it matter what country you are business Hotel, I guess always such a great Community lots of great discussions.

Lots of great talks and I gave my talk yesterday on security. I was upset GM of service computer and it鈥檚 an interesting thing. I want to talk about today in relation to the conference ends at the top was well-received. I think I did a pretty good job there was stuff.

I didn鈥檛 feel so difficult why traditional Are the way they are sharing that with a bunch of Builders were working on cutting-edge stuff to try to help bridge that Gap well, but you know, they got lots of positive feedback, which is great. How to go seek out a couple trusted friends to get some honest and open to trying to get out of there were you trying to get this is popped up a couple times.

So this conference and Jerry leader at a really cutting-edge startup and Signal it鈥檚 interesting that always talks they鈥檙e all but successes. We very rarely talk about failure to the last couple episodes of mornings with Mark. So we have discussion at scale to back and yesterday we start talking about toxicity insecurities responsibility.

I think a lot of those things contribute to the fact that we don鈥檛 share when things don鈥檛 go well. So even when you success stories, it is highly unlikely that people came right through the gate with the best solution or a solution that worked at work online when we鈥檙e writing things up.

It鈥檚 almost universally. Hey, we picked the right path and went through the right path. And here鈥檚 how we scaled to, you know, 100 million users. Having been in this industry for a very long time. Now, you know, that鈥檚 I know that鈥檚 not the case. You know, that鈥檚 not the case.

Nobody comes over the gates swing, you know. Success and it takes a while to build up to that but my question is sort of how do we not how are we doing in an environment at this point? We鈥檙e sure don鈥檛 seek out failure don鈥檛 seem to fail but let鈥檚 learn from each other stumbling blocks.

I know when it comes to security. Some really touchy likes for a touchy just because normally a security failure means that somewhere along the lines is there was a victim there is data breach there was an issue, you know when you鈥檙e worried about maybe your job, but even in successful talks, I think we can adjust it.

If you never looked at the heroes story story the timeline as far as how to build a story. I鈥檓 right to the Arco if it鈥檚 a big wheel that tells you in on each Source stage of the hero鈥檚 journey. That鈥檚 at the hero鈥檚 journey nearest service area of despair of failure were things.

Dwarven I think we skip over that in talks when we鈥檙e sharing our work we kind of go. Yeah. I was not aware of something. I found out about a solution. I rolled it out and I saved yours. Whereas we know there鈥檚 something I tried and I found that out after jumping over all these challenges and I think that鈥檚 far more useful as far more practical.

You can still spin it and work it into a positive story. But I think one of the things that鈥檚 pushing it back is sort of a pervasive culture of we need to be successful. So let me give you a solid example. It鈥檚 the show you鈥檙e watching right now mornings with Mark.

This is episode 91, right? Everyone is Monday to Friday for a while now and it鈥檚 been a successful as sometimes not depending on how I鈥檓 thinking about success. So I started this is sort of a weight and trying to get myself on track for the day to have something concrete that I can deliver out the door build up some content and I鈥檓 in trying to increase my online presence of it.

I was hoping that I would get it out of live viewers has people to be tuning in all the time and I would feel great. Of course people know me are probably snickering or trying to keep whatever the food they were eating in in try not to spit their copy of their noses some have not in general and get a decent amount of after the fact and this show has helped me to focus my thoughts and help me build out and see what content is good to help me get it all regular Cadence of contents or what you know and see what causes of that knowledge is good.

But what resonates with folks so that I can do more of that which is I saw it. It鈥檚 also help me grow my YouTube channel and make over a thousand subscribers there and which is not bad having started it just a few months ago, but it鈥檚 there鈥檚 been days where I struggled to get the timers.

It鈥檚 been days where I just don鈥檛 have the energy like I just don鈥檛 want to do this necessarily so it鈥檚 not all there and I haven鈥檛 really shared that. Okay and idli, so I鈥檓 just as much part of the problem, but I think in general in technology and insecurity specifically we have a lot to learn from where people have stumbled and we have a lot to learn where people have tried different solutions MN fail and to learn from why that failed in that case, not that hate is solution is a failure no matter what it is, but just in that specific case, it was did not work for the following reasons.

We need to have a far more constructive and positive environment for discussions less toxicity the ability to share less-than-stellar success has the ability to share openly and honestly on failures so that we can all get better. Atmark NCAA online for those of you in the Vlog Down Below in the comments by email me at Mark and Don see I鈥檇 love to hear your thoughts.
