Monitoring Production Services at Amazon

Everyone should take in session BLD205 at AWS re:Invent 2020. This session is called, “Monitoring Production Services at Amazon” and it’s presented by David Yanacek, Sr. Principal Engineer, AWS Lambda.

The talk walks through monitoring strategies that work. David cites numerous examples from Amazon.com and other customers he’s worked with. The talk is chalk full of practical advice and will fundamentally change how you perceive metrics in your build.

This is 30 minutes well spent.

What’s Next?

This session, “Monitoring Production Services at Amazon”, should be available on-demand shortly. It’s absolutely worth you time and I think you’ll be able to put David’s guidance into action immediately for your builds.

You should also take a few minutes to browse the Amazon Builder’s Library. This is a fantastic resource that AWS is updating with some regularity.
