Wired recently published an article titled “Biden’s Cybersecurity Team Gets Crowded at the Top.” In the piece, Garrett M Graff lays of the five primary leads for cybersecurity and the lightly overlapping responsibilities of each.

[00:00:11] It’s a great primer on how the U S federal government is currently approaching the challenge of cyber security. And the potential bureaucratic jockeying and red tape really shouldn’t surprise anyone.

So are there too many agencies and leaders involved? No.

Cybersecurity is a complex problem and it needs to be tackled on a number of fronts concurrently.

[00:00:28] The biggest challenge will be building a culture throughout the government that treats cybersecurity as a critical aspect of every IT project.

Culture change is hard and honestly, the more people pushing for it.
